Description
Tom and Daisy are visited by an American agent who might purchase Tom’s papers, and by Garret Fitzmaurice and his wife, whose marriage might break up. Daisy makes a toast to “the Necessary Uncertainty”, suggesting that only when we accept that uncertainty is central to living, can we carry on.
