Sunday Poetry Session

Join us for a Sunday Poetry Session with poets James Peake, Barry Currivan & Ben McGuire, with music from Derry Carroll, on Sunday 18th May at 2pm.

 

ABOUT THE PARTICIPANTS

James Peake works in independent podcasting and lives in East Sussex. His third collection, The Third City, was brought out by Two Rivers Press in April this year.

Barry Currivan is a Dublin-based spoken word artist, and a regular contributor and featured performer at poetry and spoken word events in Dublin and around the country. In 2023 he finished third in the All Ireland Poetry Slam competition. Last year, he performed at festivals including Electric Picnic, Forest Fest and The Works Festival. His poetry collection if not If, what? was published last November.

Ben McGuire’s chapbook Luke the World: Elegies for a Brother won the Coast to Coast to Coast Journal Prize in 2023. Poems of his have appeared in Poetry Ireland Review, Stand and The Irish Times. He lives in Bray.

Derry Carroll is a singer-songwriter and member of the Roof Rabbits.
