All are welcome to celebrate the launch of The Illustrated Encyclopedia of Irish Lighthouses by David Hare and illustrated by Linda Fährlin on the 1st of October at 6pm here at Books Upstairs. With Gill Books and opening remarks from Neven Maguire.

About the Book:

About the Author and Illustrator:

David Hare wrote and produced the incredibly popular RTÉ documentary The Great Lighthouses of Ireland and his book of the same name was nominated for an Irish Book Award.

Linda Fährlin is an artist and illustrator inspired by the wild Atlantic Ocean and the landscape of the north-west of Ireland, where she lives. Previous books she has illustrated include The Great Irish Science Book, written by Professor Luke O’Neill. She is a Champion of Reading for CBI (Children’s Books Ireland) and a member of the Illustrators Guild of Ireland and Visual Artists Ireland.
